How to Make Comic Panels

Sounds easy, but there are some techniques I use to make the process simple.

Making panels for comics consists of little squares, rectangles, and that’s about it, right? Well, as true as that is, there is a method to the madness.

Today, I’m breaking down how I create a panel for my gag cartoons. I’ll show you how once I have a panel created, I never have to keep creating a new one each time I draw a new cartoon. Also, there is a process to my lettering inside the panels that keeps the words clean and nice looking.

There are other things like:

–Size of the line I use.

–Colors.

–Layers.

And more…

I tried to make this as entertaining as possible considering we’re talking about, well, panels. So, I’ll take you from my studio, to my MacBook and then into my iPad Pro where I finish things off in Procreate.

Don’t be a square. Check it out below!
